What it means

“Stop”: proceeding without stopping before the “Stop” line (or, if there is none, before the edge of the carriageway being crossed) is prohibited. The driver must give way to vehicles travelling on the road being crossed and, where plate 8.13 “Direction of the priority road” is present, to vehicles travelling on the priority road. If sign 2.5 is installed before a level crossing or a quarantine checkpoint, the driver must stop before the “Stop” line or, if there is none, before the sign.
